I am in a team to research new tools and services. My team already produced a lot of research findings, and are ahread of the schedule to finish the research, then will start a POC. We have a product manager who reported the progress to the directors. Then suddenly, we had a meeting with mana and directors, and directors told us they don’t want to read out findings, they want recommendations how to use these new tools, and they also want a POC to show how the new system work.
The POC was expected later this year, but at the meeting, the management asked if we can deliver one by July?
Does it sound crazy to you? I haven’t worked with the leadership for new product from 0-1, but I think it is poorly managed and unrealistic project management style.
