Hello Stack Overflow Community,
I am currently a fourth-semester Data Science student who has been learning web development on the side. A few months ago, I started with the basics of Node.js, Express.js, and EJS, but due to academic commitments, I had to take a break for about two months. Now, I’m feeling quite overwhelmed and unsure whether I should start from the beginning again or continue from where I left off. Here are some additional details:
- Background: Covered basics of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Node.js, Express.js, and EJS.
- Current Skills: Basic understanding of the mentioned technologies but with very low practice and few practical projects.
- Concern: Worried about not retaining what I learned previously and how to best proceed without feeling too overwhelmed.
Could you please advise on the best approach to get back into web development? Should I start from scratch or review my previous notes and continue from there? Any strategies or resources to help manage the overwhelming feeling would also be greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your guidance!
I tried revisiting my previous notes and small projects, hoping to quickly refresh my memory and continue from where I left off. However, I found myself struggling to remember key concepts and felt overwhelmed by the amount of information. I expected to recall the basics easily and pick up my learning from there, but the reality is that I’m unsure about my current understanding and how to effectively get back on track.
