I am using MS-Office 19 on Windows-10.

The big size of my Excel file is due to two worksheets. My problem: the file size of my Excel workbook is not reduced when I reduce the size of my two worksheets.

I made a backup elsewhere of my two worksheets and I deleted almost all the rows of my two worksheets: I did not delete the two worksheets in order not to loose formatting and formulas. I saved the Excel file and I noted that his size was exactly as before.

I tried also to delete the two worksheets and it was the same: the file size was exactly as before.

Is there a particular command or procedure to reduce Excel file size when reducing large worksheets or when deleting them?
