I have some troubles with the loading latency of my pictures on my website.

The fact is i have a lot of pictures and especialy a lot of a big pictures.
I tryed to add and specify all the pictures in my HTML, it help a little, but the website
continue to be laggy.
Do you know how i can optimize the loading ?
