Found this but for AutoHotKey and that is available for Windows and there seems to be an option for Linux but seems like the version is old.
My use case for this is “typeracer”. I would like to just be sure that the shift
key will work every time. I tried NixOS Gnome sticky keys but the first I click it before writing the quote first 2 letters get capitalized and then it works normally, but then I click some other modifier
key and I need to turn it off and it just does not suit my use case.
Tried xte, xdotools, xvkbd, xbindkeys
(this works, inserts capitalized “A”)
I can use the Remote Desktop thingy but I was not able to buffer shift like I wanted.
I have not installed the AutoHotKey for Linux too. I am running on X11 but I am trying to go for Wayland if that can help. I will be happy if anything works like I requested.
