I created a staging site to update my theme and plugins for my WordPress site. Now that everything is updated, I don’t see any of the images on the website. I do see that all of the images are in the media library and that they are also on the server when I go in via FTP.
This means that almost all of the images on the website are not showing on the front end. If I try to add them to a Featured image, image block, or gallery it doesn’t work.
The only clue I have is that when I click on an image in the media library to get the attachment details (i.e. image name, title, alt tile, caption, description, etc.) it shows a “page” icon like below.
None of the images show up when the image is clicked on in the media library.
We are using WP Bakery as the WP editor and I have tried setting the site to a standard WordPress theme and deactivating my plugins. I have also deactivated and cleared all of my caches. Nothing brings the images back, even though they are showing as on the server and in the media library.
Is something broken in the database? If so, is there a way to regenerate the references to the images to make them appear again?
