I have a laptop Asus F200MA Notebook (detail here) that has no more BIOS configuration screen since I tried to install a Linux Mint on it.
This installation probably overwrited a partition that contained this BIOS configuration.
I try to find a way to reinstall a linux on it OR overwrite/reset the hard drive to reinstall that BIOS Configuration screen. (see below)
Now, when I boot the laptop, I don’t have anymore a BIOS, so I directly start the GRUB.
I can’t boot on the linux mint because the installation did not work.
It says:
error: bad shim signature.
error: you need to load the kernel first.
Press any key to continue...
I was trying to boot on a linux boot key from the prompt grub but the ls
command does not show my usb keys. I only see the internal hard drive hd0:
(proc) (memdisk) (hd0) (hd0,gpt1) (hd0,gpt2)
My question is “simple”: can I save this laptop, or not?
Thanks in advance for your answers.
