My ip address is *.12/24 which is configured by DHCP server (which is in this case my router) it’s preferred. But when I did ipconfig /release and I waited, my ipv4 address is *.11/24 and it’s preferred also. Ain’t preferred the previous IPv4 address I used in the previous lease? Please correct me if I am wrong.
BTW I didn’t follow up an ipconfig /release with an ipconfig /renew. I saw this ip address when I did ipconfig /all (I firstly saw APIPA address then .*12)
