I have installed an off-grid inverter of 5kW. The connected DC power is 7kW. My inverter trips when I connect my air conditioning system. The air conditioner requires 3,5kW of initial power when connected and then stables to 1kW after some time. However when I connect it with my inverter around 11am at day, the inverter trips. The inverter easily provides power of around 4kW at that time if they are turned on slowly, but when I connect it with my air conditioning system, it trips.
My question is what is the conversion time of the inverter or solar pannels when they are connected to load or can someone help me how can I solve my problem for this high power requirement
I am thinking if it is high current draw problem, maybe splitting the string in 2 strings should work?
