I accidentally deleted an important folder from my hard drive. How can I restore it?
I’ve tried using the testdisk utility in two ways:
- Through the Linux command, but the process is interrupted after a couple of hours
- A Jinn image with various utilities was rolled through a bootable USB flash drive, among which was the testdisk utility, But the process was too long – it took up to 2 days. And then less than 20% of the process took place. There is no time to wait so long.
I tried another utility from the same bootable USB flash drive – Active File Recovery. I couldn’t figure out how it works. some files appeared with the chk extension on the disk. I tried to run them through the unchkfree utility – the utility did not show me anything.
What other ways are there to restore the directory?
