I want to locate a mobile phone using its signal strength, but I cannot get packet exchange without it being connected to a Wi-Fi network. I have tried using airodump-ng and aireplay-ng –deauth, but without success. My phone has Wi-Fi enabled but is not connected to a network. I can obtain its MAC address, but I do not know how to exploit it to get the signal strength. Can someone help me solve this problem?

I am looking to receive a dozen packets from a device that is not connected to a network, without any prior configuration.
