It is known that mailto:@gmail.com can be used to open mail compose to @gmail.com address.

But I have fallen in a peculiar situation. I have a website called stellarweb.org and from that website I have got a webmail called [email protected], how to open mail compose sending a mail to that address using mailto link?

You might think mailto:[email protected] would do the work. But no (try it yourself), it takes me to my website not gmail. It’s probably trying to log me in into my website by the name mailto:admin? Because if I try that on a nonexistent website like admin@not-stellarweb then gmail is opened because it can find no website named not-stellarweb.org to login into so it was forced into gmail. But as you can guess- the mail compose is not opened on [email protected] but on [email protected].

So what is the solution?? How to send a gmail to an IMAP webmail belonging to an existent website using mailto
