Are you encountering a frustrating scenario where Excel macros, despite being enabled and properly configured, are still being blocked by Excel with a persistent red banner warning? You’re not alone.
I recently faced this issue where all macros were enabled on my Excel sheets, and the file macros were unlocked via the standard right-click and properties method. However, despite these measures, Excel continued to block the macros, rendering them inaccessible.
What’s particularly baffling is that while the macros function perfectly fine when accessed from the desktop, they are inexplicably blocked when accessed from OneDrive. This discrepancy has added an extra layer of complexity to the issue, making it even more challenging to resolve.
Seeking a solution, I reached out to Microsoft Support via chat. Their dedicated team explored various troubleshooting options, including taking remote control of my system to investigate further. However, despite their efforts, the issue persisted unresolved.
Now, I’m turning to the Microsoft community for expert assistance. Have you encountered a similar issue? Or do you possess the expertise to diagnose and resolve this perplexing problem? Your insights and guidance would be greatly appreciated in helping to uncover the root cause and find a viable solution.
Join the discussion and let’s work together to overcome this Excel macros blockade, especially when accessing files from OneDrive.
