I have a setup running an intel NUC12

I ran into a weird scenario with the HDMI connection that is going directly to a monitor. If I power up the NUC with the HDMI already connected, it is displaying the image on the monitor. If I power up the NUC with the HDMI disconnected, and then connect the HDMI cable, it then does not display the image.

Has anyone seen anything similar?

I am able to continuously recreate the issue. Cannot find anything on windows settings that would be doing this.
