I have created a simple Google sheetto count passing Vehicles by category with an onEdit function that pastes current datetime into Column A when a checkbox in Column B through H is clicked.

This works fine when I am using the sheet, but when my son edits, the checkmarks show but no datetime is entered in Column A. The problem persists across three different devices. My son’s editor access must be working for him to activate the checkbox, so why doesn’t that trigger the onEdit?
