I have put this in a git repository and commit changes with it.

When I am provided an update of the initial files I would like to merge this in without it reverting all my changes because theres only a couple of hundred file changes.
I have currently created a separate repo to just push their code changes and then copy the changes over manually, so is there a better way I can just push in the changes because its a long time comparing these.
