Over the years, I’ve noticed that many moderators on different Stack Exchange platforms seem to have a low IQ and low competence. They are biased, and I know of cases where they acted together to delete comments or posts selectively, showing only their version of the truth. The guidelines are often too subjective, depending on how each person interprets them.
The voting system is also flawed. I often see moderators write in comments that they downvoted a post because they thought it was not a good fit. This shows the voting system is based on opinions, without clear rules. Questions should be allowed to stay up longer so that more knowledgeable people have the chance to read them and decide if the post could be useful with some changes, instead of being removed based on the judgments of these incompetent moderators.
There’s also no fair way to decide who is right or wrong. A few low IQ, incompetent moderators can team up and control what happens to posts. It’s disappointing how this public platform allows such biased control over content.
Often, people with a poor understanding of a topic misinterpret it and try to impose their wrong ideas on posts and answers, contributing negatively. There should be more intelligent and competent moderators. The rules for handling posts should be very clear and not subject to the personal interpretations of these low IQ and low competence individuals.
I have no respect for the current group managing these platforms. They think they are competent, but in reality, they lack knowledge and just have nothing better to do. Until this system changes, these Stack Exchange websites will continue to suffer from the low competence and IQ of their current moderators.
