I have this annoying problem with my Keyboard: The brainiac of designer of my keyboard had the wonderful idea of putting a Lockscreen-Key right over the backspace-key.
As you might imagine, this is very annoying, because if i miss the backspace key, it will lock the screen. Then i have to activate my screen and enter my password to unlock. This is very disturbing.
So i want to disable this key, so i don’t get disturbed, if i accidently miss my backspace.
I am Using Debian 12 (bookworm) with Wayland and Gnome. I already changed the configuration on dconf-manager but it won’t help – nevertheless the key is working. Below are the entries i changed to [”]
/org/gnome/settings-daemon/plugins/media-keys/
- hibernate
- hibernate-static
- power
- power-static
- screensaver (this one is set to <super>l)
- screensaver-static
- suspend
- suspend-static
I didn’t found other entries, which relate or could relate to the lockscreen.
So how could i deactivate that annoying key?
