I am using Quarto to write a manuscript and a supplementary data file using the Science Translational Medicine .csl file. The journal requires all references be included in the manuscript document in numerical order. Is it possible to start numbering references in the supplement at 76 instead of 1, for example, by modifying the .csl? I would then just copy-paste the references from the supplement document into the manuscript document. Other suggestions for solving this problem would be welcome. I think combining the text into a single document or making a Quarto book project causes other issues with front matter formatting that should be reproduced across both documents (i.e., title, author list, etc.).
