Is it possible to manually change the degree of multiprogramming in Linux through a syscall or a configuration file? Specifically, can you set a fixed value or change it temporarily?
The OS can change the degree of multiprogramming at a convenient. Is there a common range of values for the degree of multiprogramming in Linux?
I am asking about Linux, but information on any other operating system would also be helpful.
