Question

I would download the WeatherAPI package for Java from this repo: https://github.com/weatherapicom/java.

So I configured my .m2/settings.xml:

Of course I use appropriate acces token created and customized to write and read packages.

When I try to add the dependency to pom.xml, I get multiple errors:

So, why Maven searches for package in the Maven Central but not in GitHub packages

But when I remove Maven Central repo from the settings.xml, I get such errors:

If I add specified GitHub repo to the pom.xml:

When I use mvn clean install build passes successfully but the problem does not resolve.
