I’m planning to conduct a design of experiment and am currently planning it. I’ve gotten 6 parameters which I want to determine the influence of through a full factorial design and later use that data for a RSM to determine the optimum settings. The parameters are among others the stirringrate and temperature of a solution. This is dependent upon the waterbath that is being used.
With my current plan I’ve got 64 runs and some centerpoints. However the experiments itself cost quite a bit of time and using the waterbath for multiple samples on the same stirringrate and temperature would significantly decrease the time for the whole experiment.
My question is whether this is possible and how this would work/impact the reliability of the experiment.
I’ve tried searching through various books, among which Optimal design of experiments a case study by P. Goos which was highly recommended. But cant find an example or something describing a similar problem.
