I am reaching out to the community for help regarding an issue I’m experiencing with my website, https://thehourglasshouse.com.au. Recently, Google Ads flagged my site for containing a malicious link: {check-tl-ver-85-2[.]com/}. Despite extensive efforts, I have been unable to locate this link on my site.

Despite what I’ve done so far, I am still receiving notifications about the malicious link. Here are my specific questions:

1.    Identification: How can I exactly identify where the call to {check-tl-ver-85-2[.]com/} is being made on my site?
2.    Other Domains: Are there other malicious domains I should be aware of, besides the one mentioned?
3.    Scope: Is this issue isolated to the landing page, or could it be present on other pages of my website as well?

If anyone has encountered a similar issue or has any insights or tools that might help, your assistance would be greatly appreciated. I am eager to resolve this issue quickly so I can resume using Google Ads.

Here’s a summary of what I’ve done so far:

1.    Malware Scans: Conducted thorough scans using various tools, including:

•    SiteLock: https://www.sitelock.com/free-website-scan/?domain=thehourglasshouse.com.au
•    VirusTotal: https://www.virustotal.com/gui/url/3ad95a3e4054f7b09f8b9478d06cd7c4c5fcd15ed4b754dcf8249aa8092fd3ba
2.    Hosting Support: My hosting provider also performed a malware scan and found no issues.
3.    Google Search Console: Confirmed that my site has no issues.
4.    Network Tab Analysis: Inspected the network tab and found that the only domains being called are local or trusted third parties (e.g., Google Analytics, Google Fonts, Gravatar).
5.    Code and Database Search: Searched for entries containing ‘check-tl-ver-85’ within the site’s files and database but found nothing.
6.    Website Restoration: Restored the website from a clean backup taken in May, when Google Ads were still running without any issues.
