So after releasing v1 of my library about a year ago, I’ve worked on some major improvements in the last couple of months and I am about to release and announce the new version.
To track success it’s pretty important to me to track usage which I guess would be downloads.

As great as I think it is, something in the numbers doesn’t add up to me. Throughout the last year it showed the weekly downloads to be maybe 100, and now it shows 1,300 weekly downloads and even over 2000 one day. Are these just estimates or actual downloads?

Are these numbers reliable? Aside of a couple Reddit comments I haven’t really done any marketing to it. Can I trust these numbers? If not, is there another tracker for npm packages?
