I am new to java and currently working on building projects with Java to improve my knowledge. However, I often see people using Java for GUI development, which I found surprising since I thought Java was primarily used for backend logic.

When I searched for applications and desktop software that use Java GUI, I couldn’t find many notable examples. The few I did find were not well-known.

Is Java GUI more commonly used for private internal enterprise software rather than commercial applications? I’m also curious if new developers are likely to use Java GUI in the future, and if so, for what types of projects?
