So i’m a small developer and since MS started to use Smartscreen, i’ve been renewing EV Code Sign certificates as otherwise most people simply won’t install my app because Windows says it’s ‘unsafe’.

Last year i paid us$ 189 for a Comodo EV Code Sign certificate.

Now the same company is charging us$ 389 to renew the same certificate.

Why is this thing so expensive ? Are there any alternatives ? :-/
