I’m looking to asses the feasibility of the below in Power BI:

the 3 step process of changing the data source of a bar chart in power BI

Essentially, if I’ve got one bar chart visualisation in a dashboard, how complex is it to allow the user change the metrics measured by that visualisation?

Assumptions:

1. All the data follows a similar format
2. All the data is suitable for the same visualisation

I was experimenting with button slicers, limiting the scope to the specific visualisation, but button slicers give a poor user experience.
