My mid tier company has created millions of forms with Crystal Reports using ASP.net and DB2 database with the main report type being PDF format. In order to phase out the use of CR, we are looking for an alternate report generator solution that would give developers more control over generated PDF reports. We enjoy the ease of use with Crystal Reports and looking for something similar that would provide enhanced UI and allow more options for developers. We have a new IT project that has initiated this need and we’ll be using .NET/C# for the project. What are your recommendations for this volume of PDF generation using C# and database?

I’m not savvy on what might be our best fit and we don’t have a procurement department. My company is in the business of issuing A LOT of reports (mostly PDF) and each separate report created will have 2-3 pages each typically. We have begun looking into some reporting types such as JSreport, iText, Telerik, SSRS, etc. What are some good recommendations that you may have worked with?
