I recently applied for a research position and when the professor got back me he asked to see code samples of previous work. I have projects stored in my machine, however I have not learned how to utilize GitHub to show my code works and share with others.

What should I share in this situation?

I was thinking of just letting the professor know that I have not yet pushed it to sharing platform such as GitHub.
