I’m hoping someone can point me in the right direction for the most efficient solution to my problem. Here is the issue…I am reporting off several string code tables that have been cobbled together over the years and sometimes the codes match and sometimes they’re just close. For instance, ACME_BRICK_RED_NINE_INCH vs. ACME_INC_NINE_INCH_BRICK. I don’t have permission to run any updates and actually clean the data up, but could I build a replace or is there a better method to relate these 2 tables? I have about 230 errant values that either don’t match at all or are just variations of each other. Thanks in advance.
