In my research, I preferred to use a semi-quantitative method named productivity and susceptibility analysis shortly PSA for calculating vulnerability of marine fish species. Productivity defines life history traits of species and in my study, there are 12 productivity attributes, such as maximum length, fecundity etc. Furthermore, susceptibility represents fishers’ knowledge related to the species and I have 9 susceptibility attributes such as, market value, management strategy.
After collecting all the productivity and susceptibility value, I used quantile approach to assign score (1= low, 2= moderate, 3= high) in all the attributes. Then, calculated average productivity and susceptibility value and by using this value I can plot scatter plot like the image provided below. However, I cannot perform simulation to measure uncertainty as well as unable to plot it.
two-dimensional PSA plot where x-axis represents productivity, value arranged from 3 to 1 and y-axis represents susceptibility ranged from 1 to 3. Additionally, range line defining standard deviation which found from 5000 simulations.
I tried different r package such as COINr but couldn’t succeed.
I am expecting to measure uncertainty for my productivity and susceptibility value and plot it to increase the robustness of my findings.
