when creating a new file it used to show text like “select language to get started”.but i think i clicked some settings and now it disappeared.i also check the settings in workbench emmpty and its set to text which is default.tried unistalling and reinstalling vs code several times now but sproblem still persists.kindly help me sort this out as i really need to use vs code.I believe its the best there is and i would lke it to. be my go to compiler.kindly help me quickly as i need to make projects soon and practice.

i tried uninstalling and reinstalling several times but problem remained.also whenever i tried running or debugging a c++ it showed error and i clicked on debug anyway.then it showed me to open launch.json.i really dont know what to do about this.kindly help me
