I have a Minecraft server hosted by Nitrado, located in Frankfurt, Germany. The server is intended as a safe space for my 8-year-old niece in Vietnam to play. While the server runs smoothly for players connecting from Europe, my niece is experiencing severe connectivity issues from Vietnam. These issues include frequent socket connection errors and overall poor performance.
We use ExpressVPN, setting the location to Germany, which improved the connection by about 25%.
The connection is still unstable and often unusable. I’m seeking advice on both server-side and client-side solutions to improve her connectivity. Specifically:
Are there server settings I can adjust improve connection stability?
Are there client-side settings or optimizations we can try?
Would using a proxy or tunneling service help, and if so, which one would you recommend?
Any suggestions or insights into improving her Minecraft experience would be greatly appreciated!
