I am new to VMWare. I was given a number VMs with three subnets in play (.1, .2 and .3). I cannot change the subnets. I would like to mention that all the VMs were communicating perfectly till a VM expert came in and made changes after I told him not to. He doesn’t remember what he did. It is seriously doubtful that he changed anything on the VMs themselves (he didn’t have the login information to them) but did change things to the VM settings.
Here is what is broken: VM1 has two IP addresses: 2.10 and 3.10. It should be getting traffic from VM2 which has 3 IP addresses: 1.20, 2.20, and 3.20. These two VMs are able to ping each other, but the applications on them are not able to see it. I know that there is some kind of setting that I need to set to allow for traffic on multiple subnets. Can anyone point me towards directions on how to do this? I found this question: VMWare ESXI Multi Subnet Setup, but it doesn’t say what steps are needed for this.
