I’m currently working on optimizing my e-commerce website, CraftVinyl.ca, which specializes in vinyl craft supplies. We offer a wide range of high-quality vinyl sheets, tools, and accessories for crafters across Canada. I’m looking for advice on how to improve our search engine rankings and increase organic traffic. Any tips on on-page SEO, content strategies, or technical optimizations would be greatly appreciated!
Keyword Research: I conducted thorough keyword research to identify high-volume and low-competition keywords related to vinyl craft supplies. This included terms like “vinyl sheets Canada,” “craft vinyl tools,” and “premium vinyl supplies.”
On-Page SEO: I optimized the website’s meta titles, descriptions, and headers with relevant keywords. Each product page has unique and descriptive content that highlights the benefits and uses of our vinyl products.
Content Marketing: I started a blog on CraftVinyl.ca, publishing articles about crafting tips, project ideas, and how-to guides related to vinyl crafts. This was aimed at driving organic traffic and providing valuable content to our audience.
Technical SEO: I improved the website’s loading speed, ensured it was mobile-friendly, and submitted an updated sitemap to Google Search Console. I also worked on fixing broken links and improving the overall site structure.
Backlink Building: I reached out to crafting blogs and websites for guest posting opportunities and backlink exchanges. I also got listed in several online directories relevant to crafts and DIY projects.
What I Expected:
I expected these efforts to lead to an increase in organic traffic, better search engine rankings for our targeted keywords, and ultimately higher sales conversions. While we have seen some improvement, the results are not as significant as I had hoped. I’m looking for additional strategies or insights that might help boost our SEO performance further.
