I’m just learning about text mining and reading this site https://rpubs.com/vipero7/introduction-to-text-mining-with-r I had some difficulties understanding the difference between methods, that are TBM, PBM, CBM and PTM, and techniques, that are Information Extraction, Information Retrieval, Categorization, Clustering, Visualization and Summarization.

I can’t understand how methods and techniques are connected, or if they are alternatives to each other, or if you first need to choose a method and then carry out the analysis of the techniques using that method. Can someone give me an explanation and an example of when use methods and when techniques? Thanks
