I am currently working on my graduation project, which involves utilizing the OpenAI API. However, I am encountering difficulties obtaining an API key. Despite attempting to add various payment cards to my account for verification, I consistently receive a “declined” error message. I have tried multiple cards from different providers, yet the issue persists.

As this project is crucial for my graduation, gaining access to the OpenAI API is imperative. I have followed all the necessary steps outlined in the documentation, but unfortunately, I am still unable to proceed due to the recurring card decline issue.

I have attempted to add multiple payment cards to my account for verification, following the guidelines provided in the OpenAI documentation. My expectation was that by adding a valid payment card, I would be able to successfully verify my account and obtain an API key to proceed with my project.

However, despite trying several different cards from various providers, each attempt resulted in a “declined” error message. I expected that at least one of the cards would be accepted for verification, allowing me to access the OpenAI API.

Unfortunately, the recurring card decline issue has prevented me from progressing with my project. I am now seeking guidance and assistance from the community on how to resolve this issue and obtain an API key for my graduation project.
