I am trying to set up the Messenger API on Instagram following the Meta Developer documentation. However, I am encountering an issue when attempting to connect my Facebook Page to my Instagram Professional Account. Here are the steps I’ve taken and the requirements I have met:
Requirements:
Instagram Professional Account: I have an Instagram Business account.
Facebook Page: I have created a Facebook Page to represent my Instagram Professional account identity.
Developer Account: I have a Developer Account that can perform tasks on my Page.
Facebook App: I have created a Facebook app with basic settings configured.
Steps Taken:
Created a new Facebook Page.
Logged into my Instagram account and navigated to settings.
Attempted to connect the Instagram account to the Facebook Page.
Issue:
When I try to connect the Facebook Page to the Instagram account, I receive the following error message:
Sorry something went wrong! We will look into it.
Questions:
Has anyone else encountered this issue and found a solution?
Are there any specific settings or configurations I might be missing?
Is there a way to debug or get more detailed error information from Facebook/Instagram?
Any guidance or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I have tried the following troubleshooting steps without success:
Logging out and back into both Facebook and Instagram.
Clearing browser cache and cookies.
Trying a different browser.
Checking for any updates on both apps.
Ensuring both accounts are correctly set up as a Professional account and a Business Page respectively.
