I have tried to install the program through homebrew and macports, but once it finishes installing and I enter “mc” in the terminal I get the following message:

Error when executing:
Impossible to create directory /Users/myuser/.config/mc

I checked the permissions in .config and mc is as root

I don’t know how to solve the problem, I tried to change the permissions with the chmod command but I couldn’t use mc
