As a mathematician when I apply for jobs in data analytics companies, I am told they have about 20 black box models to operate which they need IT guys with knowledge of python language. Mathematicians can go back to being unemployed. I am not sure how these black box models give satisfying solutions to large data problems? Don’t the companies need mathematicians to interpret outputs ?
I tried applying for a job at a Data Analytics firm.
