I’m working on major assignments right now. Yesterday, I saved my vim file. Right before I was about to hand it in, I opened file explorer and I vaguely remember not even seeing my saved file there. Just some .swx
file? And my actual file disappeared. I went home. Came back. My file is back (I thought I lost all my work). Anyways I thought maybe I am just losing it.
Today, right now. I save my file, about to hand it in. And…. It’s gone. In the file explorer, there is a File.hs.swx
. In the terminal, File.hs
exists. But it’s not there in the file explorer. I am scared to close the terminal because if I do I think my file will be completely gone (currently it only exists when I ls
from the terminal – it does not exist when I look for it in the file explorer thing). What’s going on?
I am afraid that if I close terminal the file is all gone but I tihnk closing terminal might be what brings the file back? I don’t know.
