I’ve got a new router that is unable to be connected to the first router due to the way my house is built. I used to remote desktop from the top floor to the computer downstairs because I was using the same network. Now that I’ve got a new router with a seperate network I am unable to.

I was wondering if it was possible to use the 2nd router as an extension of the network instead of a new one.

How would I go about doing this?

Note: I’ve got very limited experience with networking.

I haven’t tried anything as I want couldn’t find any good sources on this. Most sources just say connect the second router to the first which is not an option for me.
