I am big epoch fan.
Whenever I design something, I always make it a point to use epoch.
I recently had a FAANG interview where I used epoch.
I was given negative remark that I used “outdated concept like epoch, instead of timestamp”.

I consider timestamps messy and dependent on specific applications, database, presentation at UI.
