Why are people here so conceited? How is it possible that a platform meant to assist people without prerequisites has turned into a forum full of snobs? I’ve seen it in my own questions, where incorrect assumptions are made by users, but also in other questions where people are criticized because they know less… What kind of culture is this? Doesn’t it sadden you, as people with a lot of reputation points, that people like me and many of my acquaintances don’t even bother asking questions on Stack Overflow anymore, but just leave the error as it is?

Shouldn’t something change there? Shouldn’t the people with many points here maybe be checked for their mindset? Because as many have already reported independently, gatekeeping here is a huge problem. Shouldn’t people who engage in gatekeeping be banned from the platform, or at least receive a warning? Does there need to be a shift in thinking?
