I am seeking guidance on entering monitor mode in Fedora 40. While following a tutorial, I encountered an issue as the tutorial was based on an older version of Fedora (specifically Fedora 34). In that tutorial, the command “iwconfig” was used to enter monitor mode. However, when I tried running “iwconfig” on my Fedora 40 system, I received the error message: “bash: fedora command not found.”
After researching various forums, I learned that “iwconfig” is not available in the Fedora 36 repositories and likely in subsequent versions as well. Hence, I am looking for alternative methods to enter monitor mode without relying on “iwconfig.”
To summarize, my main goal is to successfully enter monitor mode in Fedora 40, allowing me to proceed with the tutorial. Any guidance or suggestions you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thank you kindly!
