my ip address is *.12/24 which is configured by DHCP server(which is in this case my router ) it’s preferred . But when i did ipconfig /release and i waited , my ipv4 address is *.11/24 and it’s preferred also. Ain’t preferred the previous IPv4 address i used in the previous lease. please correct me if i am wrong.

btw i didn’t follow up an ipconfig /release with an ipconfig /renew. I saw this ip address when i did ipconfig /all (i firstly saw APIPA address then .*12)
What happened?
